Silo Studios
The Nations
Silo Studios was an adaptive reuse project that converted a former lumber mill into a facility with office, retail, restaurant, brewery, and fitness spaces. The development involved reimagining 70-80,000 square feet of space.
Greathouse worked with Dowdle Construction and Hodgson Douglas Landscape Architects to bring this concept to life.
The project features a large bio-retention pond with a pedestrian bridge covering it, transforming a stormwater-quality structure into an aesthetically pleasing amenity. Two decomposed granite courtyard areas and a vision that makes use of existing old structures round out the comprehensive landscape design at this project in the Nations.
The project was completed in 2020, and it remains one of our favorite projects of that year.
