Fairgrounds

Fairgrounds is the first phase of Metro Nashville’s plan to redevelop the fairgrounds in preparation for the new MLS Stadium. What was once an old gravel lot near Fair Park has since been transformed into a park with soccer fields and a dog park.

The dog park has an artificial turf playing area with dog teeter totters, tires, and concrete tunnels. The soccer field doubles as a parking area for the fair.

The soil was prepared with StaLok® Fiber, a turf reinforcement that stabilizes the soil. Natural grass roots are able to grow together with StaLok to create a network that increases load-bearing strength—ideal for compacted areas and parking!
